Registered Dental Hygienist — Join a GBT-Certified Practice That Invests in You
What if your next hygiene position was better for your patients and ergonomically better for you?
Queen King Dental is looking for a vibrant, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established downtown Hamilton practice.
We know experienced hygienists have choices. That's why we've worked hard to create an environment where hygienists are respected as healthcare professionals, supported by the team and given technology that can make delivering exceptional care easier and more comfortable.
Work Smarter with Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT).
Queen King Dental is a Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) Certified Office and has fully embraced the EMS GBT system.
If you're already GBT certified, we'd love to hear from you.
Never used GBT? We'll pay for your training.
For the right motivated hygienist, we'll invest in getting you trained and comfortable with the system.
GBT allows our hygiene team to deliver an exceptional patient experience while offering another important advantage: improved ergonomics and reduced physical demands compared with relying exclusively on traditional instrumentation.
If you've spent years doing hygiene, you know how important protecting your hands, wrists, neck and back can become.
We believe investing in technology that supports our patients should also support the professionals caring for them.
More Than Just a Hygiene Appointment.
Our hygienists are an important part of the clinical team.
You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with patients, educate them about their oral health and work collaboratively with our dentists to provide comprehensive care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing medical and dental histories.
- Guided Biofilm Therapy, scaling and prophylaxis.
- Periodontal assessment and supporting periodontal health.
- Oral cancer screening.
- Assessing oral health prior to doctor examinations.
- Patient education and treatment recommendations.
- Zoom Whitening.
- Laser therapy (training available).
- Impressions.
- Fissure sealants.
- Maintaining appropriate continuing-care schedules.
Who We're Looking For:
- Ideally, you have 3–5 years of clinical experience, although we're most interested in finding the right person for our team.
- You should be confident clinically, genuinely enjoy working with patients and be able to communicate oral health findings and recommendations in a way patients understand.
- Experience with Dentrix, digital dentistry and Zoom Whitening is an asset but attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn matter to us.
- We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a collaborative team and wants to practice in an office that continues to invest in better ways of delivering dentistry.
Full-Time or Part-Time — Let's Talk About What Works
We're looking primarily for a full-time hygienist, but we understand that flexibility matters.
If you're an excellent hygienist looking for part-time hours or a schedule that better fits your life, we'd still like to hear from you.
Why Queen King Dental?
We're not interested in simply filling a hygiene chair.
We're looking for someone we can invest in and hopefully keep for years.
Queen King Dental is a friendly, progressive, full-service dental practice with an experienced clinical team and a strong commitment to technology, continuing education and patient comfort.
We care about the experience our patients have—but we also care about the experience our team has coming to work each day.
You'll be joining an office that:
- Is GBT Certified.
- Provides and pays for GBT training.
- Invests in technology designed to improve patient care and clinician ergonomics.
- Values the hygienist's role in diagnosis, education and periodontal health.
- Offers flexible scheduling.
- Encourages continuing education and professional development.
- Has an experienced, supportive clinical team.
- Provides a modern, welcoming working environment.
- Believes great dentistry starts with a team that feels valued.
If you're happy where you are but wondering whether there's a practice that might offer better technology, a supportive team and a more comfortable way to practise hygiene, we'd love to have a confidential conversation.
Come meet us, see the office and experience GBT for yourself.
Your next position shouldn't just be another hygiene job. It should be a place where you can do great work, feel appreciated and build the next chapter of your career.
